April Faith Conversation

1.Opening: If you could change the ending to any movie you’ve ever seen, what movie would it be and how would you change the ending?

Thoughts/Discussion: Prayer changes things. It may not automatically change the circumstances we are struggling with, but it does change us. It makes us more willing to seek the will of God and pursue it in our lives. When that happens, we find that what really needed to change was not our circumstances, but ourselves. What steps can you take to help make your ending a happy one?

Bible Verse: Pslam 51: 10 “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”

2.Opening:  If you could be the tallest tree for many miles around, where in the world would you want to be planted so you could have an awesome view of everything below you?

Thoughts/Discussion:  God has planted a seed of faith in each child. You have a major influential role in how well that seed of faith is nurtured. Meeting for faith club, going to bible studies, loving others even when they are unloving back to you… It isn’t always easy being a steady rock and that’s why we can be so thankful for the opportunities to grow as followers of Jesus. Who are your role models as a Christian?

Bible Verse:  Matthew 5: 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

3.Opening:  Are you saving up for anything special? Did you make a plan on your goal and how much you save?

Thoughts/Discussion: At one time or another we learn the value of a dollar and that some things are worth the wait. Was it something that you already purchased or something you are still saving for? Was it worth it in the end? Through experience we learn patience, work ethic, and discernment. Was this something that was taught to you or that you learned on your own?

Bible Verse:  Genesis 29:20  “So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days because of his love for her. “
