March Faith Conversation
1.Opening: What is your favorite bible verse and why?
Thought/Discussion: The bible gives us life lessons, words to ponder, and daily encouragement. Think about a passage or two that has meaning to you. Does that same scripture speak to others the way it speaks to you? Have you ever listened to a testimony or sermon that spoke to you long after? Discuss.
Bible Verse: Philippians 4:8 “…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praise worthy think about such things”
2.Opening: If you could build a private bridge or tunnel that would take you directly from your home to any place at all, what would it connect you to?
Thought/Discussion: Prayer is one of the surest ways we connect with God. Even when we feel like no one will understand us, God is always ready to listen to you. Having a place to unwind, collect your thoughts, and talk to God is important for all of us. Do you have a place like this, your own little happy place? For some it is our room, in the car with the music turned up high, or it could be what is on the other side of that private bridge.
Bible Verse: Hebrews 9:3-4 “Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place, which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.”
3.Opening: When was the last time you were REALLY excited about something? What was it and how did you react?
Thought/Discussion: Have you ever been so ready for a great thing to happen you couldn’t contain yourself? Maybe it was Christmas and you knew you were about to get an amazing gift that you hinted about every day for the past two months, or maybe it was the amazing test score you got after studying harder than you knew you could. Excitement looks different on everyone, are you someone who exclaims their excitement from the rooftops or do you keep your excitement to yourself?
Bible Verse: John 17:4 “I glorified you on the earth, having accomplished the work which you have given me to do.”
